Unfortunately there are Rottweilers in need of adoption throughout the country. A vast majority of the time these dogs originated from back yard breeders and puppy mills, dogs from legitimate reputable breeders RARELY find themselves in need of rescue. If PRICE is your primary priority when searching for a Rottweiler then please PLEASE get a dog or puppy from an animal shelter or Rottweiler rescue and DO NOT support back yard breeders or puppy mills. When buyers continue to support the back yard breeders and puppy mills by puchasing their dogs and puppies, they will continue to breed! Only the buyers can end this vicious cycle!!!

Many - if not most of the Rottweilers in need of rescue are surrendered to shelters and rescues because of medical or behavioral issues - they are often special needs dogs in need of ongoing medical care, training or behavior modification. Adopting a rescued Rottweiler requires dedication and patience. Adopting a rescued Rottweiler must be a commitment to that dog for it's lifetime - a commitment well worth making.
